Recently a Bethany Christian Services (Muskegon branch) caseworker reached out to see if we could help come alongside some of her foster families, and purchase some items that would really bless them. We absolutely loved this idea, and supported these families as our October recipient!

Bethany Christian Services is a global nonprofit organization. They serve families in 30 locations across the United States as well as serving families in 8 countries. Their mission is to stand up and serve the vulnerable children, refugees, and families all around the world. Their goal is to not only serve children and families in the community, but also to spread the love of Christ to everyone they come into contact with. Their actions are inspired by their faith, and they believe that they are called to see people as God sees His people. They strive to make children and families feel loved, connected, and empowered.

The Muskegon branch primarily focuses on providing foster care and adoption services. They believe that every child has a right to be loved, cared for, have permanency and if possible to be reunited with their parents. They are currently serving approximately 59 families in the community and working hard to help children achieve permanency as quickly as possible. They have approximately 60 licensed general and relative foster homes providing a safe and healing home for children.

The staff at the Muskegon office work tirelessly to fight for their families and for what’s right. They are fierce advocates for the children and families, and they strive to empower parents and build their confidence to parent their children on their own.
