Arbor Circle Kinship Family : February 2026
This month we were honored to come alongside a kinship family connected with Arbor Circle who needed help catching up on overdue property taxes. We’re incredibly grateful for the relationships we’ve built with local agency workers who trust us with needs like this.
Read what the program manager shared below :
“Arbor Circle’s team of child welfare workers is grateful when we connect with relatives who are willing to step up and help their younger family members who are in need of a safe and stable home. This was the case recently for a great aunt and her nephew when he entered foster care. This individual stood up for her nephew when he needed someone the most and she has been that constant for the entirety of his life, nourishing his well-being and providing him with stability.
However, single parenthood is no easy task and there are going to be unforeseen obstacles that have to be faced. There are utilities, groceries, transportation and clothing that have to be provided when caring for a child. This great aunt is employed full-time and takes pride in what she does, helping those in need through direct care. She also takes pride in herself and her family and has a hard time asking for help. With that in mind, Arbor Circle was honored to reach out on this family’s behalf to ask for assistance in paying their overdue property taxes. With this barrier removed, she will have the opportunity to move forward in completing the adoption of her nephew and she will no longer have to worry about her home facing foreclosure. When we shared that The Dollar Difference selected her family as a recipient of support, she was so relieved to hear that there are still good people out there who help others. She and her family are forever grateful.”
