Younglives is a ministry of Young Life that reaches teen moms, pregnant or parenting ages 13-20. The vision of YoungLives is to reach teen moms by entering their world, modeling the unconditional love of Christ, and encouraging them to become the women and mothers God created them to be. Young Lives' mission is to introduce teen moms to Jesus, teach parenting and life skills through mentorship, offer unconditional love and support, and help them grow in their faith.

YoungLives meets once a month during the school year for club, where teen moms can form new friendships, encourage each other, and have fun. They enjoy a dinner, crazy games, an activity and a message about who Jesus is. There is also a Small group Bible study opportunity for the teen mom to go deeper in her faith if she desires, and this takes place twice a month along with a meal and childcare is provided.

YoungLives camp is the highlight of the summer. This is a week-long getaway for the teen moms and their children where they can have fun, build relationships and hear from a camp speaker the gospel message. As the school year draws to a close, Young Lives' focus has turned towards encouraging the teen moms to consider camp this coming July. For those who have never been, they are cautious and hesitant, so they rely on those who have gone before to share their wonderful experiences they had from attending.

It costs $645 to send a teen mom and her baby to camp which includes lodging, transportation and other misc extras. They ask the teen mom to invest $100 towards this cost and encourage them to volunteer in the community with their mentor. YoungLives hopes to bring 5-7 teen moms to camp this summer along with 2-3 mentors.

The funds raised this month through The Dollar Difference will be supporting teen moms from the Zeeland/Holland area to attend camp this Summer with their little one!
