December is such a wonderful month full of excitement and extra cheer due to the anticipation of Christmas, and we wanted to play a part in spreading some Christmas cheer this month so we partnered up with Mosaic Foster and Adoptive Ministry to help throw an epic Christmas party for their foster, adoptive, and kinship families!

Mosaic is a community based support ministry in West Michigan who, in participation with area churches, seeks to actively support families & volunteers involved in foster care, adoption & kinship care as they work to provide a safe environment for vulnerable & waiting children.

Mosaic does this primarily through monthly support groups for foster families, morning meet-ups for moms, family events, mom and/or dad nights out, respite nights, Bible studies, book clubs and a clothing co-op which provides clothing, shoes, books and various baby items free of charge for local Mosaic families.

Mosaic’s mission to empower, support, encourage, walk in community and “do life” with foster, adoptive and kinship families is fueled by these scripture verses:

“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need.”
